My Family! |
I am Mrs. Ernster and I am so excited to be your second grade teacher. Some of you may already know that I am a John Harris alumni. I went to John Harris as a 1st grader the year it opened. John Harris has always been home for me as a student, so I am so happy to be part of the John Harris family as a teacher. I graduated college from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA. I also graduated with my masters of Education: Reading Specialist through USF.
I love to be outdoors any chance I get. That means I love to hike, camp, run and have bonfires with family and friends. I also love to read, sew and play wii. I have two sisters. My oldest sister is a physical therapist working in Oregon and my younger sister is a registrar at Sanford. My dad, Dr. Scott Mckercher, is a pediatrician at Sanford and my mom, Laurita McKercher, has a small business making cards and aprons. She has also just recently published a poetry book.
I am married to my high school sweetheart, Chris Ernster. Chris is a biology and AP environmental teacher at Lincoln High School. Chris keeps busy during the summer with tree trimming, landscaping, painting, and handyman jobs. He also loves to hunt and fish any chance he gets.
We have a little girl named Grace and a son named Joseph. They are the bright spots in our life. We love to play, read, and snuggle.
My Nieces!
I have 4 nieces whom I adore. Camdyn, Kinsley and Carson are all sisters and Selah is another cousin to Grace and Joseph.
